only a collective destiny, made of plague
and emotions shared by all.”

ASPIRE & our members are leaders in Diversity & Inclusion

Every year during the ASPIRE Conference we celebrate the power of Diversity.

If you do nothing else today check out how three extraordinary people inspired us at ASPIRE 4 ALL.

In 2019, our audience was stunned by the amazing singing voice and impassioned plea for equality and justice of Josette Bushell-Mingo.

Josette is a Swedish-based English theatre actor and director. For 13 years, she led The National Touring Swedish Deaf Theatre ensemble TystTeater.

At ASPIRE 4 ALL, Josette improvised on her one person show, Nina and me, a story of resilience and courage how as a black woman she has drawn strength from the struggles and example of the great soul singer Nina Simone.

In 2018, Daniel Kish demonstrated that what we might consider to be a disability might just be a special power.

Blind since he was 13 months old, Daniel has learned to “see” using a form of echolocation.

Right in front of us Daniel clicked his tongue sending out flashes of sound to bounce off the surfaces in the auditorium, which returning to him, gave him 360 degree vision.

In 2016, an audience of 2,000 people stood and clapped for 5 full minutes in respect and admiration of Giles Duley.

Giles is a British documentary photographer and photojournalist.

In 2011, whilst on patrol with the US Army in Afghanistan, Giles stepped on a landmine. He was severely injured, losing both legs and an arm.

At ASPIRE 4 ALL, Giles shared with us his journey before Afghanistan and the truly amazing path he has travelled since drawing attention with his art and soul to the plight of those caught up in global conflict.
